TRINIDAD CARNIVAL 2019

Another Carnival for the books! This was my 2nd year doing Carnival in Trinidad. I have only done Carnival in Jamaica and Trinidad (Brazil is still on my bucket list), but I love going to the one in Trinidad.  I love everything about Carnival. The music, the dancing, the culture- it’s an event that brings people together no matter where you’re from with good vibes all around. This year I had so much fun. I played with Harts both years because I love their costumes and the energy of their band, I’ve met so many amazing people in the past two years. This year I brought my good friend Racquel with me and we had a blast. I wrote a blog post on my first Carnival experience in Trinidad here, with lots of general info you need to know for your first time. I got so many more questions on logistics this year for attending Carnival, and how much it costs and where I got my costume etc. You can read my first blog post …

HANGOUT FESTIVAL: GULF SHORES, ALABAMA

My first Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores Alabama. I got invited to attend, and I had never been to the festival, nor had I ever been to Alabama! I had heard about it through one of my friends, and I knew it was a music festival on the beach. I decided to go with my sister and we had a lot of fun. It’s definitely different than Coachella, or any other music festival I’ve been to. It’s a lot smaller, and right on the sand on a beach in Gulf Shores. I felt like most people who attended were either from Alabama or the surrounding states in the South and mid west, but there were some people I met from the West Coast. You fly into the Pensacola airport in Florida, which is the closest international airport to Gulf Shores. We took a Lyft from the airport in Pensacola to Gulf Shores which was around $70. Here are a few things to know when going to HangOut Festival: Fly into Pensacola airport. Pensacola is a …

COACHELLA 2017

Another year another Coachella! I usually dread going to Coachella, it’s just not my thing. But this year was different. It was actually epic…. and never thought I would say that about Coachella, it’s just too Hollywood for me. I went with Foray Collective, and did Coachella right this time. I was surrounded by the best people in the most epic house in the desert. I danced the night away with my best friends under the stars and just let loose which I haven’t done in a long time. My biggest advice if you are going to Coachella is don’t get too caught up in the scene and go for the music and to have a good time. Also don’t spend too much time in the VIP area…the mosh pits are where it’s at 😉 Oh, and you have to end a Coachella weekend with a stop at In’ N Out on your way home! I traveled from New York to LA to Colombia to LA to Israel to LA to Canada to LA and …

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL FESTIVAL- LAS VEGAS

This past weekend I went to Vegas to the Life Is Beautiful Festival with two of my good girl friends. We had so much fun at the festival. I liked it because it was way more chill compared to Coachella and other music festivals I’ve been to. It didn’t feel as packed and crowded, it just felt smaller and a little more intimate which I liked. It was in downtown Las Vegas so definitely had a different vibe than any other festival. Flume was by far my favorite. He was incredible to see in an outdoor setting. I also loved seeing Chromeo and Major Lazor. We went out to XS after the festival at night for David Guetta and DipLo. I cut together a 60 second snippet of our weekend that we all just filmed from our iPhones. Below are some pics from the festival.

COACHELLA

This year was my first time at Coachella Music Festival in Indio/Palm Springs, CA. I’ve experienced other music festivals such as Lollapalooza in Chicago and Made In America in Philly, but I felt like I had to experience what all the hype was about Coachella. Basically everyone in LA goes to Coachella, and all my closest girlfriends were going this year, and the lineup was good so I decided this was my year. I had an unforgettable experience. Would I do it again? Not sure, but I’m glad I did it.  It was exhausting but I made some amazing memories with great friends.
