BELIZE 2019

My second time in Belize and another great experience. I went to Belize a few years ago and really loved it too. It’s one of my favorite places to snorkel and be in the ocean- the marine life is incredible and so colorful. I stayed 9 nights this time and it was after Coachella so I really wanted to go somewhere to relax for once and not have to stress too much about work. What really made my experience special this time was staying at Coco Plum Island Resort. This is in no way a paid ad- staying there really made my trip amazing and I wanted to share my experience with you. It’s definitely a place worth looking into if you visit Belize. The staff there was exceptional and super attentive and friendly, the food was delicious, and the tiny remote island of Coco Plum Resort was a little slice of heaven in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. I got SO many questions about this place from my stories and IG posts, asking …

MY TRAVEL GUIDE TO THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS

OAHU It can be hard to decide what island to visit when booking a trip to Hawaii. I didn’t want to miss out on anything, and finally made up my mind to visit the three main islands so I can get the full Hawaiian experience. Oahu has a more “commercialized” feel, especially in Waikiki, but still offers a good mix of island and city life. Below are my Oahu highlights: Oahu Hikes- If you enjoy hiking, there are some great scenic hikes on Oahu. Some of my favorites include: ~Lanikai Pillbox Hike: Hike right before sunrise for some breathtaking views ~Diamond Head Hike: Set on the Waikiki coastline, you’ll get to see both city and ocean views ~Koko Head Hike: 1000+ stairs — brace yourself! ~Makapu’u Tidepools: A great spot for snorkeling and swimming but can be dangerous getting to the bottom so be careful! North Shore For a completely different experience than Waikiki and Honolulu, be sure to visit North Shore, Oahu. It’s a surfer town with beautiful beaches and a “locals only” vibe. …

MY GUIDE TO MAUI, HAWAII

If I could choose to move one place in America (besides maybe New York), it would hands down be Maui, Hawaii. I had the opportunity to spend six days in Maui and was able to really explore the best the island has to offer. Below is a full break down of my MAUI MUST SEE’S: WHERE TO STAY The Four Seasons Resort Maui Wailea is one of my new obsessions. With an extensive and stunning new renovation recently unveiled at the end of 2016, the newly designed resort takes perfection to a new level. With floor to ceiling transformations of its luxury guest rooms and suites, the resort is in even a better place than ever before. The new aesthetic honors the nature and beauty of the island while still maintaining a contemporary feel. I stayed in one of their luxury suites with a beautiful garden and ocean view. With a spacious living and dining room, bathroom, bedroom and two large balconies, it really gave you the feel of being in your own private home …

BEST OF BELIZE

Belize was on the top of my travel bucket list for a while. I heard so many great things so I finally booked a trip to see the best the country has to offer. I usually squeeze in so many activities on a trip that it’s rarely relaxing, but this trip was different. I spent eight days there and took my time to explore the country, soak in the sun, and relax at its finest resorts. Needless to say, I came back to Los Angeles feeling refreshed and with a beautiful Belizean tan. I started off my trip inland in the small rustic town of Saint Ignacio. A lot of travelers don’t visit the mainland, but I would recommend it– you get an entirely different feel of the country. I arrived in Belize City and took a private shuttle (only $45!) to Saint Ignacio, which is 2 hours away from the airport. There’s a ton to do in Saint Ignacio including visiting the Mayan ruin sites of Xunantunich and Cahal Pech, and jungle adventures like …

COSTA RICA EXCURSIONS

My visit to Costa Rica was an adventure binge. I set out to experience the rural areas of tropical rainforests, warm pacific beaches and authentic Costa Rican culture. I visited majestic volcanoes and flowing hot springs, hiked to natural waterfalls, fished with local fisherman, swam along the coast and zip lined through the lush canopy. While the drive through Costa Rica was an excursion and bucket-list trip in itself, the activities in each city made the drive well worth the effort. Tourism companies offer the same activities throughout the country, which makes it tricky when deciding where to do what activities. Over-prepare then go with the flow is my motto when approaching this. I did my research before arriving in Costa Rica, but didn’t schedule reservations until there. I loved all of the activities I decided on, check out my Costa Rica excursions below. Tabacon Grand Spa Resort Hot Springs Fresh off the plane I traveled from San Jose to La Fortuna, home to the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna hot springs. There are a …

EL NIDO, PHILIPPINES

El Nido was so beautiful. I took so many great pictures I want to share with you! El Nido is great because it doesn’t feel touristy. I felt like I was on an island by myself with the locals. It was peaceful and quiet, and its a bunch of small islands close to one another so we did a day of island hopping and went to lagoons, caves, private beaches and went snorkeling. It was so much fun. Also if you haven’t yet, check out my El Nido zip lining video I posted in the previous post! Take a look at some of my favorite pictures and video from El Nido…
