NANCY LEE’S PIG HEAVEN, NEW YORK CITY

My sister, some friends & I went to Nancy Lee’s Pig Heaven in New York City for Christmas day dinner. This chinese restaurant was the perfect place for Jews on Christmas, it was packed with them lol! I’ve heard about their famous pork ribs on the Travel Channel, and it’s been on my food bucket list ever since. So being Jewish, I thought Christmas was the perfect night to try it and it was! This quirky little Chinese restaurant has great food, and I will definitely be back again! RESTAURANT DECORATIONS LOL. LOTS OF PIGS! THE FAMOUS BBQ SPARE RIBS Great ribs! Flavorful, tender and I loved the sauce. I remember wishing we ordered more! This was one of my favorite things ordered. It’s what Pig Heaven is famous for so this is a must try! STEAMED PORK DUMPLINGS As you can see things got messy after the ribs lol. I am not a big dumpling fan, but was overuled by the rest so we ordered them. FOOD TRUCK GALORE! LA FOOD TRUCK CHOWDOWN- DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Yesterday on June 11, 2011 from 11am-6pm, at the Los Angeles State Historic Park in Downtown LA, over 50 of LA’s most renowned and iconic food trucks gathered for an event to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Tickets cost $10 to enter which went to a good cause, and there were two stages with live bands, carnival games and more food than I have ever seen in my life! My friends and I went to town with all the food trucks there. I had to try as much as I can for my blog. See what I do for my readers! I couldn’t move at the end I was so full lol, but it was fun and worth it. There was a big grass area where people chowed down at picnic tables, and had picnics on the grass while listening to the bands play with the skyline of Downtown LA in the background. BABY BO’S CANTINA, NEW YORK CITY

Whoever said there is no real/good Mexican food in NYC, I am proving them wrong right now! Baby Bo’s Cantina in Murray Hill, NYC, was one of the best Mexican meals I’ve had in a long time. It was so good! I went with my sister and a friend, and it is the cutest little Mexican spot- total hole in the wall, but charming and cozy. It was packed when we got there, and when we sat at the bar, a couple minutes later we turned around to look at the door and there was a line of people waiting to be seated. This is what we ordered: ~Quesadilla Enorme with shredded beef- this was one of the best quesadillas I ever had! Inside was shredded beef, gooey cheese (the cheese was so creamy and amazing), beans, and topped with gaucamole, jalapenos, and chipotle sauce. I love my chipotle sauce, or any sauce for that matter!
