NEW SKINCARE OBSESSION!

(This post was sponsored by Olay, but all my opinions are my own).  As we all are spending a lot of time at home, I am finding ways of self-care  to feel my best everyday. One of the things that I take seriously as most of you know is my skin. I barely wear makeup, and that’s because I feel confident about my skin because I take care of it. Now that I’m in my thirties, I am looking for ways to prevent and prolong wrinkles and aging as much as possible. I feel like I live in a world where everyone gets botox and fillers to look younger (which I find nothing wrong with), but if I can prolong doing those things or even doing them at all, and use a product at home that works, why not! I love discovering new products and sharing my skincare obsessions with you on here, I hope you like it too! I have tried lots of different face serums, moisturizers, and gels- I even got into using …

MY FIRST RETINOL SKIN COLLECTION BY OLAY

I am a retinol virgin no more! I finally decided to incorporate retinol into my daily skincare routine. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve started using this retinol skincare collection, and I wanted to share my thoughts. For those of you who aren’t familiar with retinol, it is a form of Vitamin A that is an anti-aging compound that helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles and skin discoloration by increasing the production of collagen in the skin. It acts as a skin exfoliant to help improve blemishes by preventing dead skin cells to clog pores. It also promotes cell turnover, stimulating the production of new blood vessels which helps even out skin tone and improves skin color. Its set apart from other skin ingredients because of its potency. I’ve been told by a few skin doctors that I don’t need to use retinol. I don’t have any dark or sun spots, pores or wrinkles (yet!), and my skin is pretty even and smooth. I know retinol can cause irritation and redness at first, and …

VIDEO: MY DAILY SKINCARE ROUTINE

I finally shot a daily skincare routine video tutorial! My entire life I had the most basic routine- wash my face with warm water and made sure to always take off my makeup every night before bed with a makeup remover wipe. Now I have a more extensive routine (but still quick!), and I’ve added products I truly trust that I have been using for the past few years. Feel free to message me with any questions, and hope you find this video helpful & informative. xx – Subscribe to my Youtube for more videos! Shot and edited by Solmaz Saberi | @SolmazSaberi

HOW I HANDLE AGING IN MY 30’s

Hi! I wanted to get candid about being in my 30’s and how I feel about aging, taking care of my skin, and how to stay looking young. I don’t do many posts like this because my beauty and skin routine has always been pretty minimal and simple. I have said on here and on Instagram that I have never gotten any plastic surgery, or have anything fake- even down to my hair and nails. I of course have no issues and there is no judgment whatsoever for those who have done those things. Whatever empowers and makes you feel beautiful I think is a good thing, as long as you are doing it for yourself and no one else I fully support it. I always said I want to age gracefully, and never want to alter or change the way God made me, and I still intend to do that. I remember in my 20’s my friends would look at me crazy for never doing botox and I always said I would wait until …

SKINCARE ROUTINE WITH JOANNA VARGAS

Along with my exercise, makeup, and hair routine,  I get asked about my skincare routine just as much, if not more than anything else. A lot of my followers know I don’t wear much makeup, if any at all, so having good skin is really important to me. I’ve been blessed to never have gotten pimples or acne in my life- nor do I have any sun spots or blemishes on my face. I’ve always kept my skin care routine simple. I make sure to wash my face and moisturize every night, and in the morning I lightly rinse my face and moisturize with SPF usually. I’ve previously blogged about my daily skincare routine using a few of my favorite products, and I wanted to share what I’ve been using recently. I’ve been using Joanna Vargas skincare products for the past couple months and have been really liking them. I am on a one month long trip in Europe at the moment and brought her products along with me to continue my at-home daily skincare routine. Below …

MY SKINCARE ROUTINE- SKIN CEUTICALS

With all the traveling I do, I am constantly in the sun, on airplanes and pretty much have 24/7 jetlag-it’s not the most ideal for my skin, and it definitely takes a wear and tear. Fortunately up until this point, I have been extremely lucky to have had great skin- I’ve never had pimples or break outs in my life, and barely any sunspots, lines or wrinkles (thank you mom & dad), but I realized it’s time now to start taking it seriously and take care of my skin before it’s too late. Aging is a b*tch! When I got invited to an event recently held by SkinCeuticals, I was excited to attend and learn about their skin care products. People have always asked me my skin routine and what products I use, and I never had the answers because I honestly never did anything but soap and water. Attending this brunch was life changing for my skin- it was the first step in inspiring my new skin routine and now I can proudly say …

BEAUTY OBSESSION: SALLY HANSEN AIRBRUSH LEGS

I had a huge shoot recently for something really exciting. (Can’t wait to show you guys what its for!). I have been working really hard preparing for it and wanted to feel my best. I discovered the Priv app where you can book beauty services straight to your door which is super convenient for me because I hate driving around to a million appointments on the day of a photoshoot. I wanted to have a tan and glowy look for my shoot, so decided to try out the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs spray to give me an even golden glow. I booked someone to come to my house and airbrush my legs with the new Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs spray. I am obsessed with this product. It covers any imperfections such as bruises, veins, cellulite, scars, etc. and gives you a natural golden tan. It’s not sticky or thick either- it’s light and dries quickly leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. It’s been hard to find body makeup products that match my exact skin tone, and …

2015 SAG AWARDS RED CARPET

Hey everyone! Wanted to share my favorite looks from the SAG Awards last night. I was kind of underwhelmed by the carpet- there was no one that really “WOW’ED” me. Everyone played it safe and looked nice, but nothing was exciting. I liked Julianne Moore’s emerald gown. I love emerald green on a red head lol- it looked exquisite on her. The beading in person looked so rich and beautiful, pictures didn’t do it justice. I also thought Emma Stone nailed it, which she always does. I absolutely love the menswear look on a woman. She is so fashion forward and kills it every time. Felicity Jones, (who happens to be my obsession right now), wore a soft pink Balenciaga gown and looked stunning. What are your thoughts on the SAG looks? Do you agree with my favorites?
