PLAYA DEL CARMEN & TULUM | MEXICO

I went to Playa Del Carmen / Tulum for a day and a half! That’s how I roll. I was in and out, and it’s not the easiest to get there, but in the short amount of time I had, I did a lot. I did an excursion package called “Xplore”, which included zip lining, ATV’ing, and swimming in underground caves and Cenotes. We did it at night and it was so much fun! I wore a bathing suit because you are wet the entire time. Even zip lining you go through water. There were a bunch of different zip lines and it took 45 minutes to do all of them.  It was a cool and a different experience to zip line, ATV and swim in underground caves at night. Being in the caves felt tranquil and beautifully creepy at the same time. Playa Del Carmen is a really fun beach town with tons of bars, night clubs and shopping. The streets were crazy at night and the clubs and bars were packed. Tulum is …

ADJUSTING IN LA

When I am not traveling, I make the best out of my time spent in LA. I eat and venture out to new restaurants on my food #bucketklist, I explore different areas of the city and find new , fun activities to do, but I also try and take care of myself and get back to a proper and healthy lifestyle. Traveling can be tiring. I also tend to gain a few pounds when I travel because I don’t want to deprive myself of an experience in trying something new- I want to get the most out of everywhere I go. Flying on airplanes all the time is really hard on my body, and I’ve been flying a lot lately. Once in a while I like to get massages and visit a chiropractor to get adjusted when I get back to LA just to reset my body. The other day I visited Atlas Health Care Center to get my body  adjusted because I felt a little stiff. I was a little nervous at first getting my neck …

TORONTO

I went to Toronto for the first time and I loved it! It’s such a beautiful city in the fall. I went with my sister and the two of us explored the city for a weekend. We went to the Aquarium, Trinity Bellwoods Park, shopped, went out to a couple trendy nightcubs, visited Niagara Falls, and ate our way through the city. We stayed at the Thompson Hotel which was perfectly central and conveniently located next to King St. where all the clubs, bars and great restaurants were. Check out the highlights from my trip! PS. Niagara Falls was so breathtaking!

EL NIDO, PHILIPPINES

El Nido was so beautiful. I took so many great pictures I want to share with you! El Nido is great because it doesn’t feel touristy. I felt like I was on an island by myself with the locals. It was peaceful and quiet, and its a bunch of small islands close to one another so we did a day of island hopping and went to lagoons, caves, private beaches and went snorkeling. It was so much fun. Also if you haven’t yet, check out my El Nido zip lining video I posted in the previous post! Take a look at some of my favorite pictures and video from El Nido…

A LITTLE SNEAK PEAK OF MY TIME IN EL NIDO, PHILIPPINES

Here is a little teaser for my next post about El Nido, which will conclude  my entire trip to the Philippines. El Nido is rated one of the most beautiful places in the world according to several travel sites. Most of my pictures on my Instagram are from my time in El Nido because it was so beautiful. Zip lining is one of the activities I did there.  It was so much fun and it was my first time! Check it out…

A DAY IN LA….

I am always traveling, but there is no place like home. I do appreciate my days in LA, and there is so much to do and see in my own city. I learned you don’t have to fly across the world to experience beautiful things, sometimes the most beautiful places are right in front of you. I am all about discovering the secret gem spots that are just a drive away around Los Angeles to save me from a long flight. The other day I hiked in Palos Verdes and explored the beautiful cliffs and beaches. Take a look!

BORACAY | PHILLIPPINES

Boracay is the fun party island of the Philippines and it is absolutely beautiful. Boracay is where I swam as a mermaid. I also tried  BALUT which is a common food in Southeast Asia. Balut is a developing duck embryo boiled alive and eaten from the shell of the egg. It’s supposed to be a good source of protein. I was absolutely terrified to try it but I had a small taste and it wasn’t so bad. I also tried chicken intestines on a stick from a cart on the beach which I actually enjoyed. Take a look at some of my favorite moments from my time in Boracay (including a video of me fire dancing in the rain!). Also, if you haven’t seen me swim as a mermaid, check it out here!

RICO’S LECHON | CEBU, PHILIPPINES

Fresh out the ocean after swimming with whale sharks, I changed in the car and went straight to Rico’s, a famous place where they are known for having the best “Lechon” on the island of Cebu. Lechon is roasted pig and is a popular food in the Philippines, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and in Latin America & Spain. Lechon is a national dish of the Philippines and in fact, Anthony Bourdain claimed Cebu as having the best pig in the world. My friend and I went to Rico’s to try their spicy Lechon. It was phenomenal. I love anything spicy, so this lechon tasted extra delicious. If you are ever in Cebu or anywhere in the Philippines,  you have to try Lechon and Rico’s is a very well known place for it. It was a hole in the wall but packed with a line out the door. They were chopping up the pork so quickly, things were messy in there as you can see from my pictures. That’s my favorite kind of food…messy and delicious. …

CEBU, PHILIPPINES

My trip to the Philippines was absolutely amazing. It was so beautiful there and the people were extremely nice and friendly. I started in Manila and island hopped from Cebu to Boracay to El Nido. I did everything from swimming with whale sharks to dancing with fire in the rain, being a mermaid and zip lining over the ocean. I already shared with you a couple clips being a mermaid and swimming with whale sharks, but here are a couple of my favorite pictures from Cebu (including Kawasan Falls). Next blog post will be on an amazing hole in the wall where they serve the best “Lechon” in Cebu. Stay tuned!
