RECAP OF PUEBLO BONITO PACIFICA RESORT & SPA, CABO

I recently came back from a trip with my mom in Cabo, staying at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. I never get to travel with my mom so it was really special to get to bring her. Usually when I go somewhere I barely spend any time at the hotel and I’m out exploring and interacting with people and the locals. This trip, we decided to just relax and really enjoy the resort. I always tell people I go on trips, never vacation. This was the closest I felt on vacation in awhile. We stayed at Pueblo Bonito for three nights. Nestled on a beautiful beach front with 2.5 miles of a wide, pristine and empty beach, this luxury all-inclusive resort exclusively caters to adults only. We stayed in the Towers at Pacifica, which is a more modern yet elegant addition to the resort, and our room was beautiful. When you think of an all-inclusive resort, you usually tend to think it’s not as nice, or the food isn’t as good, but this was the nicest all-inclusive resort …

MAKING LIFESTYLE CHANGES

The number one question I’m asked… Whats my diet and workout routine, and how I stay in shape while traveling. I wrote a post about it a few years ago that you can read here, but I have some new tips and “adjustments” since I wrote that article. I thought there is no better time than now than writing this article again, because I FINALLY am making the shift into a healthier lifestyle. Took only 30 years…better late than never lol! Like I said in my previous article I wrote a few years ago, I am extremely blessed that I am not overweight with my history in how much I can eat along with my poor eating habits. I love my burgers! If you know me, you know I LOVE all food, and have pretty much been able to eat what I want my whole life (thank you mom and dad), but as I’m getting older I realized I had to do some major adjustments with my lifestyle. It’s not just about having a good body …

DA GRECO, BARCELONA

One of the restaurants that was recommended  to me in Barcelona by a few people, was Da Greco for Italian food. I wasn’t particularly thrilled to be eating Italian food in Spain, but then again, I’m always down for a good pasta dish. Usually if a place is recommended by a few people, I always want to give it a try, it must be good right? I also heard that Jay Z & Beyonce go there when in Barcelona, so that was another incentive, lol. We had our hotel call to make a reservation, and they couldn’t get through so we decided to just show up. It was the day after the terrorist attack, and a lot of restaurants and businesses shut down for a few days, so we were expecting to show up at a closed restaurant. When we showed up the door to the restaurant was locked. We stood there in defeat, bummed that we couldn’t experience it, and started to look for other dinner options on our phone. A few minutes later, …

GIL’S LITTLE BISTRO- DUBROVNIK, CROATIA

I briefly mentioned this gem in my Croatia article on the blog awhile back, but wanted to revisit Gil’s Little Bistro because it is worthy of a full post. I have visited Dubrovnik five times, and spent a lot of time at Gil’s Little Bistro which is located in the heart of the Old Town. It truly is a gem. Old Town is the main attraction in Dubrovnik with charming cobblestone alleys off the Stradun, the main street. Walking through the town makes you feel like you are walking through a Medieval Times movie set- and it’s the actual set of Kings Landing from Game Of Thrones. During the summer season, it is crowded with tourists from around the world. With an over saturation of “touristy” restaurants and gelato shops in the Old Town, every restaurant isn’t any different from the next. That is why I think Gil’s is so special and unique among the rest. Gil’s is set in a charming little alley off of Stradun. I’ve spent time in the kitchen at Gil’s …

CARNIVAL IN JAMAICA

I got invited by the Jamaica Board of Tourism to experience Carnival in Jamaica. I have always wanted to go to Carnival in Brazil and Trinidad & Tabago, so was really excited to go to experience it for the first time. I had been to Jamaica twice before, both when I was younger and with my family. I remember a few specific instances on both trips where I felt a little unsafe and uncomfortable, but totally went this time excited and with an open mind. I ended up having a great time, but there are some things you need to know about Jamaica before deciding to book a trip there. I got so many messages and comments from people seeing my pictures and videos from Jamaica, telling me they want to go there because of my pictures and how I made it look. First of all, Jamaica is beautiful, so it’s not hard to take pretty pictures there. But, it is also my job to make places look way better than they actually are, or …

MY TRAVEL GUIDE TO THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS

OAHU It can be hard to decide what island to visit when booking a trip to Hawaii. I didn’t want to miss out on anything, and finally made up my mind to visit the three main islands so I can get the full Hawaiian experience. Oahu has a more “commercialized” feel, especially in Waikiki, but still offers a good mix of island and city life. Below are my Oahu highlights: Oahu Hikes- If you enjoy hiking, there are some great scenic hikes on Oahu. Some of my favorites include: ~Lanikai Pillbox Hike: Hike right before sunrise for some breathtaking views ~Diamond Head Hike: Set on the Waikiki coastline, you’ll get to see both city and ocean views ~Koko Head Hike: 1000+ stairs — brace yourself! ~Makapu’u Tidepools: A great spot for snorkeling and swimming but can be dangerous getting to the bottom so be careful! North Shore For a completely different experience than Waikiki and Honolulu, be sure to visit North Shore, Oahu. It’s a surfer town with beautiful beaches and a “locals only” vibe. …

MY GUIDE TO MAUI, HAWAII

If I could choose to move one place in America (besides maybe New York), it would hands down be Maui, Hawaii. I had the opportunity to spend six days in Maui and was able to really explore the best the island has to offer. Below is a full break down of my MAUI MUST SEE’S: WHERE TO STAY The Four Seasons Resort Maui Wailea is one of my new obsessions. With an extensive and stunning new renovation recently unveiled at the end of 2016, the newly designed resort takes perfection to a new level. With floor to ceiling transformations of its luxury guest rooms and suites, the resort is in even a better place than ever before. The new aesthetic honors the nature and beauty of the island while still maintaining a contemporary feel. I stayed in one of their luxury suites with a beautiful garden and ocean view. With a spacious living and dining room, bathroom, bedroom and two large balconies, it really gave you the feel of being in your own private home …

ANGUILLA

I just came back from an amazing few days in Anguilla. It was my first time ever there. I have always wanted to go and needed a few days of relaxation to end my crazy year of nonstop traveling. I went with a few blogger friends and we stayed at The Reef by CusinArt, Anguilla’s newest luxury resort. This was the first time I visited a new place and didn’t explore outside of the resort. I stayed put and really enjoyed the hotel and its amenities. Next time I visit, which will be soon, I will definitely explore the island more and its beaches. The Reef by CusinArt has only been open for a few months and everything is exquisite. Its situated on a beautiful  beach, with a beautiful pool and oceanfront suites. I stayed in one of their oceanfront junior suites and woke up with the best ocean views every morning. I was in heaven. Besides being on a beautiful beach, my favorite part of the resort was the food. Being a CuisinArt Resort, …
