MIAMI

Check out my most recent girls trip to Miami! It was a last minute trip because we found a great flight deal. Highlights include: Road tripping to Key West for a day, jet skiing, staying at the Versace Mansion, and a girls night out on the town! See below…

ROAD TRIPPIN’ TO NEW MEXICO

It’s no secret that Christmas through New Years is the busiest time to travel. Unless you make plans months in advance, your travel options are pretty limited if you hold off booking until the last minute–especially if you don’t want to pay an arm and a leg. Since my schedule changes daily and I wasn’t able to book a big trip in advance, this year I kept it low key and went on a road trip with my sister and best friend. I had always wanted to visit the White Sand Desert, so we decided to hit the road and drive to New Mexico from Los Angeles. Our first stop: Albuquerque, New Mexico. Albuquerque: We drove thirteen hours straight to Albuquerque (yes, it felt as long as it sounds) and spent the night there. We left LA around 7am and arrived in Albuquerque around 8pm. I always do my research on what to do and where to eat when I visit a new place, so we had a game plan for dinner. We were exhausted …

HARBOR ISLAND, BAHAMAS

In December I spent a few nights on the quaint and charming Coral Sands resort in Harbour Island, Bahamas. I flew into North Eleuthera from Miami, which was an easy 55-minute flight (there are direct flights into North Eleuthera from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Nassau). Harbour Island is located off the Northeast Coast of Eleuthera Island and is just a short boat ride from the airport. I had only been to Nassau before so was excited to experience a different part of the Bahamas this time around. Coral Sands is a boutique hotel situated on their famous pink sand beach. It’s small and privately owned, with only 38 rooms. There is charm that comes with staying at a smaller boutique hotel. The vibe was intimate–the main lobby felt as though you were in a friend’s cozy living room. My room was in the newly-designed and renovated main building above the lobby. It had double balconies and a comfortable living room area. It was beach chic and airy with lots of natural light–perfect for a romantic …

SUMMER IN ITALY

I had the most amazing trip to Italy over the summer visiting Rome, Florence, Sicily, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, and island hopped on the southern coast. It was a lot of moving around in just a few weeks but it was all worth it. I have memories to last a lifetime. I made this video compiling my favorite moments of the trip. Also I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures of the trip. Would love to know your thoughts on the video…enjoy!

VICEROY, RIVIERA MAYA

A 45 minute drive from Cancun, at the end of a few hidden roads, lies the Viceroy Riviera Maya—a beautiful lush sanctuary in paradise. The resort has an open-air lobby and their beautiful villas are surrounded by the lush jungle of the Riviera Maya. Just a moments walk away from the beach, The Viceroy property gives you the best of both worlds. The resort is set on the beautiful sand beaches of Playa Del Carmen. The poolside beach bar is where I spent most of my day soaking up the sun with a pina colada in hand. The resort is located just a quick 10-15 minute drive from the heart of Playa Del Carmen, but I felt no need to leave the property throughout my stay. The food at the Viceroy was excellent. Every morning I enjoyed fresh fruit juices and an authentic Mexican breakfast—the huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and carne asada were amazing. For dinner I indulged in mojacuete, tacos and fresh guacamole. I kept lunch light with appetizers like seafood ceviche, shrimp quesadillas and …

NY NY

I go to New York pretty often for work and to visit my sister. My sis has lived there for the past 5 years so I always find a reason to visit. Last trip I went to surprise her for her birthday and we ate the entire city which is pretty much the only thing I do when I go to NY. I visited the end of October/beginning of November so it was the middle of Fall. New York is beautiful in the fall, especially Central Park which I had to visit. Below are a few pictures from my trip! Food highlights below (in order): Dominique Ansel Bakery (frozen smore’s & chocolate chip cookie shots), Rubirosa (pizza), and Peter Lugars Steakhouse in Brooklyn.

CAYO ESPANTO RESORT, BELIZE

For the ultimate luxury experience, I spent the last two nights of my trip at Cayo Espanto, a 5-star, world-class resort nestled on its own small private island off Ambergris Caye. I was picked up by boat from San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye, and pulled right up to the dock of my own 2 bedroom villa, Casa Estrella. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the full staff and their signature cocktail, “The Espanto Wave.” From that moment on, I experienced hospitality at its finest and was blown away by the exceptional service and hospitality. There were two house butlers on call, day and night. The two bedroom duplex villa was absolute heaven– each bedroom had an ocean view, there was an open living area with panoramic ocean views, two spacious bathrooms, two private decks, and a heated private plunge pool on top of the water. During the day, our villa was open so I could take in the beautiful views and fresh ocean breeze, and the house butlers closed the walls and doors each …

BEST OF BELIZE

Belize was on the top of my travel bucket list for a while. I heard so many great things so I finally booked a trip to see the best the country has to offer. I usually squeeze in so many activities on a trip that it’s rarely relaxing, but this trip was different. I spent eight days there and took my time to explore the country, soak in the sun, and relax at its finest resorts. Needless to say, I came back to Los Angeles feeling refreshed and with a beautiful Belizean tan. I started off my trip inland in the small rustic town of Saint Ignacio. A lot of travelers don’t visit the mainland, but I would recommend it– you get an entirely different feel of the country. I arrived in Belize City and took a private shuttle (only $45!) to Saint Ignacio, which is 2 hours away from the airport. There’s a ton to do in Saint Ignacio including visiting the Mayan ruin sites of Xunantunich and Cahal Pech, and jungle adventures like …

A DAY AT THE BROAD MUSEUM, DOWNTOWN LA

Last week I ventured out to the Broad Museum in Downtown Los Angeles. I love and appreciate art but I have major ADD and museums usually don’t hold my attention for very long, but the Broad Museum was an exception. The art was super dope and quirky, and I enjoyed reading about the inspirations and powerful meanings behind some of the pieces. If you decide to go, make sure to go into the Infinity Mirrored Room by Yayoi Kusama. That was my highlight. After the museum I went to the Grand Central Market just a few minutes away for lunch. I highly recommend it- it has a wide variety of different vendors with amazing food. It was a day well spent in LA.
