SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE GUIDE

I have traveled to so many different parts of Mexico my entire life, but never had been to San Miguel De Allende. This colorful local town is a few hour drive from Mexico City, and when I got invited to experience it for the first time with Azaria Travel, I was excited for the opportunity. On another note, I am DYING to go to Mexico City and can’t believe I have never been! It’s such an amazing culinary city, and the foodie in me has been itching to go for years. It has an incredible street food scene as well which is very much my vibe. I was going to try and squeeze in a few days to Mexico City when I went to San Miguel, but I thought being in a big city during the pandemic might be risky so I ended up opting out. San Miguel had little to no cases when I went January of this year, and the small town went above and beyond safety measures to keep it that way. The …

ZORBA & MAHAYANA BEACH HOMES IN TULUM

Back to Tulum exactly a year later! I was in Tulum January of 2019 & 2020, and I kept my exact itinerary and stayed at the same places both times. I split my time between sister properties Zorba & Mahayana Beach Homes in the heart of Tulum. They are luxury villas right on the beach  in the center of the main strip in Tulum, yet it still feels quiet and remote. There’s only a few homes at both Zorba and Mahayana which makes it feel way more private and intimate than most of the “trendy” boutique hotels in Tulum with tons of rooms. I usually stay 2-3 nights at each place- this trip I started off at Zorba for 2 nights, then moved to Mahayana for 2 nights. I wrote about my past experience at both properties in my Tulum Guide blog post- you can see more info & pictures from my first stay  HERE There are different category villas that range between 2-4 bedrooms at both properties. One thing to keep in mind if you book-these are …

MY TULUM GUIDE

Just got back from Tulum, and already getting so many questions on recommendations on what to do there, where to go and obviously where to eat 🙂 Thought I’d share my favorite spots with you guys. I highly suggest renting a car when arriving in Cancun. You can rent a car for super cheap, and it gives you the flexibility and freedom to do whatever you want on your own time and not have to rely on finding taxi’s everywhere you go. Tulum is a 1.5 hour drive from the Cancun airport and it’s a straight shot on the highway basically. It’s an easy drive. Tip: Check to see if your credit card provides rental car insurance benefits. You can decline their insurance and use your CC’s- I would print a copy of the insurance terms your CC offers and give to them in a hard copy form. Good way to save money, and most of the time you can get crazy cheap deals at any rental car company at the Cancun airport. THE REAL …

RECAP OF PUEBLO BONITO PACIFICA RESORT & SPA, CABO

I recently came back from a trip with my mom in Cabo, staying at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. I never get to travel with my mom so it was really special to get to bring her. Usually when I go somewhere I barely spend any time at the hotel and I’m out exploring and interacting with people and the locals. This trip, we decided to just relax and really enjoy the resort. I always tell people I go on trips, never vacation. This was the closest I felt on vacation in awhile. We stayed at Pueblo Bonito for three nights. Nestled on a beautiful beach front with 2.5 miles of a wide, pristine and empty beach, this luxury all-inclusive resort exclusively caters to adults only. We stayed in the Towers at Pacifica, which is a more modern yet elegant addition to the resort, and our room was beautiful. When you think of an all-inclusive resort, you usually tend to think it’s not as nice, or the food isn’t as good, but this was the nicest all-inclusive resort …

CANCUN WITH ONIA

I recently just came back from a blogger trip with the swim wear brand Onia in Cancun, Mexico. I spent a few days at Nizuc Resort & Spa and it was absolutely beautiful. The weather was rainy most of the time which was a bummer, but it was still amazing to be there and we all still had fun and made the best of it. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool, eating lots of food (what else is new), and we took a boat out one day to see Isla Mujeres and swim in the ocean. We also all went out in Cancun one night to dance at a few bars/clubs which was really fun! Take a look at my pictures from the trip. The last 9 photos are by photographer Jorden Keith. (All swim suits are Onia).

VICEROY, RIVIERA MAYA

A 45 minute drive from Cancun, at the end of a few hidden roads, lies the Viceroy Riviera Maya—a beautiful lush sanctuary in paradise. The resort has an open-air lobby and their beautiful villas are surrounded by the lush jungle of the Riviera Maya. Just a moments walk away from the beach, The Viceroy property gives you the best of both worlds. The resort is set on the beautiful sand beaches of Playa Del Carmen. The poolside beach bar is where I spent most of my day soaking up the sun with a pina colada in hand. The resort is located just a quick 10-15 minute drive from the heart of Playa Del Carmen, but I felt no need to leave the property throughout my stay. The food at the Viceroy was excellent. Every morning I enjoyed fresh fruit juices and an authentic Mexican breakfast—the huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and carne asada were amazing. For dinner I indulged in mojacuete, tacos and fresh guacamole. I kept lunch light with appetizers like seafood ceviche, shrimp quesadillas and …

PLAYA DEL CARMEN & TULUM | MEXICO

I went to Playa Del Carmen / Tulum for a day and a half! That’s how I roll. I was in and out, and it’s not the easiest to get there, but in the short amount of time I had, I did a lot. I did an excursion package called “Xplore”, which included zip lining, ATV’ing, and swimming in underground caves and Cenotes. We did it at night and it was so much fun! I wore a bathing suit because you are wet the entire time. Even zip lining you go through water. There were a bunch of different zip lines and it took 45 minutes to do all of them.  It was a cool and a different experience to zip line, ATV and swim in underground caves at night. Being in the caves felt tranquil and beautifully creepy at the same time. Playa Del Carmen is a really fun beach town with tons of bars, night clubs and shopping. The streets were crazy at night and the clubs and bars were packed. Tulum is …
