MIAMI FOR HALLOWEEN

I was in New York for a few meetings and to spend my sister’s birthday with her. Since I was already on the East Coast I decided to take a quick flight to Miami to meet up my friends for Halloween weekend. I had never done Halloween in Miami before, so was excited to let loose and go out. I never go out to parties or clubs anymore, and I never really drink. I am such a homebody and have already gotten all the clubbing and partying out of my system, so this Miami trip was definitely a shock to my body (ha!). I ended up at Liv three nights in a row, and by the third night I literally couldn’t hang and went home early. I’m officially a grandma. I didn’t take so many pictures this weekend because it was all fun, but I wanted to share a few pics anyway…Check my Instagram for outfit and bikini details: @NicoleIsaacs

ISRAEL

Israel has a very special place in my heart. I grew up traveling to Israel during my summers off school to visit my dad’s side of the family and I have so many amazing memories that have impacted my life and helped shape who I am today. Israel is, and will forever be a part of me. I feel very connected when I go there, and I think it’s truly one of the most fascinating and beautiful places in the world. Many people I talk to don’t know anything about Israel or what it’s like. They call me “brave” when I tell them I am going, and think it’s only desert, sand dunes and war tanks. It’s crazy to think how the media has portrayed Israel, and it’s sad that the majority of people have major misconceptions of how it really is. My goal for this trip was to show Israel how I know it. If I could live anywhere in the world besides America, I would choose Israel in a heart beat. There is so much history …

COSTA RICA TRAVEL TIPS

I just got back from Costa Rica and it was absolutely amazing. Costa Rica is such a beautiful country. I bought my ticket last minute and basically booked all accommodations the day before. Talk about winging it! My two friends and I decided to rent a car and drive through the country. We decided to hit up San Jose, Arenal, Tamarindo & Quepos, Manuel Antonio. I had an incredible trip. Take a look at my Costa Rica Travel Tips below… Miss Jetsetter’s Costa Rica Travel Tips My overall travel mantra when is: over-prepare then go with the flow. This is especially important when taking a multi-destination trip. The goal is to avoid anxiety and frustration while traveling. When deciding to road trip through Costa Rica it meant there would be no guidance from an experienced Costa Rican tourism company. I couldn’t say that any aspect of my trip was guaranteed, but by researching the destinations and knowing the lay of the land I felt comfortable and confident. This may sound like over kill- but creating …

COSTA RICA EXCURSIONS

My visit to Costa Rica was an adventure binge. I set out to experience the rural areas of tropical rainforests, warm pacific beaches and authentic Costa Rican culture. I visited majestic volcanoes and flowing hot springs, hiked to natural waterfalls, fished with local fisherman, swam along the coast and zip lined through the lush canopy. While the drive through Costa Rica was an excursion and bucket-list trip in itself, the activities in each city made the drive well worth the effort. Tourism companies offer the same activities throughout the country, which makes it tricky when deciding where to do what activities. Over-prepare then go with the flow is my motto when approaching this. I did my research before arriving in Costa Rica, but didn’t schedule reservations until there. I loved all of the activities I decided on, check out my Costa Rica excursions below. Tabacon Grand Spa Resort Hot Springs Fresh off the plane I traveled from San Jose to La Fortuna, home to the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna hot springs. There are a …

Turks & Caicos VLOG coming soon too… http://hauteliving.com/2015/04/travel-blogger-miss-jetsetter-explores-the-best-of-turks-and-caicos/561552/ Known for it’s pristine beaches with beautiful turquoise water and white sand, Providenciales Island in Turks & Caicos is the ultimate beach lover’s vacation destination. I stayed for nine days which is a pretty long time to be on the island, but it gave me ample time to really discover the best the island has to offer. From visiting all the luxurious resorts, dining at the top recommended restaurants, and looking into all the excursions …

PUNTA CANA, DR

I recently visited Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for the 2nd time. I was there with a group of friends, and we basically just relaxed, ate & drank, played Monopoly and did a one day boat excursion. I was only there for 3 days so it was a pretty short trip, and I didn’t take many pictures because I tried to shut my brain off and disconnect. I had done a lot of traveling before getting there so I just needed a few days to relax and unwind. I was pretty much a slob (ha). I’ve been to most islands in the Caribbean and they are all beautiful, but one I haven’t been to that is next on my list is Turks & Caicos. Stay tuned!

PLAYA DEL CARMEN & TULUM | MEXICO

I went to Playa Del Carmen / Tulum for a day and a half! That’s how I roll. I was in and out, and it’s not the easiest to get there, but in the short amount of time I had, I did a lot. I did an excursion package called “Xplore”, which included zip lining, ATV’ing, and swimming in underground caves and Cenotes. We did it at night and it was so much fun! I wore a bathing suit because you are wet the entire time. Even zip lining you go through water. There were a bunch of different zip lines and it took 45 minutes to do all of them.  It was a cool and a different experience to zip line, ATV and swim in underground caves at night. Being in the caves felt tranquil and beautifully creepy at the same time. Playa Del Carmen is a really fun beach town with tons of bars, night clubs and shopping. The streets were crazy at night and the clubs and bars were packed. Tulum is …

Here is a little teaser for my next post about El Nido, which will conclude  my entire trip to the Philippines. El Nido is rated one of the most beautiful places in the world according to several travel sites. Most of my pictures on my Instagram are from my time in El Nido because it was so beautiful. Zip lining is one of the activities I did there.  It was so much fun and it was my first time!
